Issues with the Angel Peak Repeater Link Radio were reported in January. After replacing the Angel peak Repeater for service a visit to the link radio site was performed. The FTM-100 Link Radio needed a firmware update. Issues were discovered upon testing and it was discovered that there was an antenna issue. This was preventing the Link Radio from working properly with the Angel Peak repeater. This issue has been resolved.
A huge shoutout to Frank Kostelac (N7ZEV) and Glenn Hale (KB7REO) for their time in assisting with testing the system and diagnosing the issues.
A site visit to Angel Peak revealed that the Motorola MTR-2000 YSF board program had failed and the repeater would not operate in Wires-X Mode. The Repeater was temporarily replaced with a Yaesu DR-2X. The Motorola will return to service on Angel Peak when repaired.
The Angel Peak Repeater has been opened up for analog use as well. A PL tone of 156.7 will now open the repeater on 449.550Mhz +5

Special THANKS to Randy Williams (N7VXB) for letting the CVRC install a Yaesu DR-1X fusion repeater on Snow Valley Peak using his current VHF system configuration. In the Spring of 2025, Randy will discuss the options of making the VHF 146.940 frequency permanent or we switch to a coordinated UHF frequency.
Special THANKS to Les Robinson (N7GWT) and the Ely Amateur Radio Club! They gave us their frequency pair on Prospect Peak and have installed our DR-2X Fusion repeater on the site. Some antenna repair still needs to be completed to get it operational so hopefully before the winter we can get that system linked.
