10/26/24 Nevada Day Parade
The 2024 Nevada Day Parade is in the books! The event used both the CVRC UHF and VHF repeaters on McClellen Peak above Carson City. Thank you to all of the Amateur Radio operators and clubs who volunteered their time to assist in making the event a success! The Carson Valley Radio Club looks forward to assisting the next special event with quality communications!
10/15/24 Snow Valley Peak Repeater
Special THANKS to Randy Williams (N7VXB) for letting the CVRC install a Yaesu DR-1X fusion repeater on Snow Valley Peak using his current VHF system configuration. In the Spring of 2025, Randy will discuss the options of making the VHF 146.940 frequency permanent or we switch to a coordinated UHF frequency.
10/7/24 Prospect Peak Repeater
Special THANKS to Les Robinson (N7GWT) and the Ely Amateur Radio Club! They gave us their frequency pair on Prospect Peak and have installed our DR-2X Fusion repeater on the site. Some antenna repair still needs to be completed to get it operational so hopefully before the winter we can get that system linked.
